(PAC "Ottawa in Maps" section - PAC 197469) 1861 Census, Falstaff Ward shows Joseph G., aged 51, born in Ireland, Congregational Church, his wife, Rebecca, aged 37 born in Scotland and Albert, born in Upper Canada, aged 7 years. The family had 1 cow 1 pig, 1 horse, livestock in the value of $110.00, 1 carriage 1 /2 acre of land at 56 Church Street on which stood a 2 storey frame house. By 1881 the holdings had grown to include 1/4 acre on Ontario Street, 1/4 acre on Cobourg Street, 1 acre on Nile Avenue (+4/10 sep.) and two 1/4 acre lots on Elizabeth St. 1871 Census, aged 61, Stratford, Perth North, Ontario 1881 Census as J.G.
